10 Ideas for Your Fall Wedding!
I hate to even bring up that fall is right around the corner, but it is! And with fall, comes beautiful orange, warm colors, and many weddings! Here are some ideas and tips for your fall wedding.
1. Flowers are one of the first things that come to mind when it comes to fall weddings. Think orange, deep read, classic yellow. It’s warm and cozy! Be sure and check out the list of which flowers are in season when to help guide your flowery decisions!
2. Candles also provide a nice cozy fall feeling. Consider using candles as your centerpiece and/or as part of the decoration around the venue. You can try using floating candles in a glass bowl of water, or several candles together in the center.
3. Use nature’s changing colors to decorate. It’s eco-friendly, biodegradable, and gorgeous! Leaves, apples, even pumpkins – all add character to your wedding decor.
4. For the fall, why not the ease of a comfy turkey and mashed potatoes? Start with a butternut squash soup and voila! If you want something a little more elegant, consider the flavors. Cinnamon, ginger, and curry are wonderful fall flavors!
5. For dessert, apple pie? Okay okay, how about a pumpkin flavored wedding cake? Or a plain traditional chocolate cake? You cant go wrong!
6. Consider a winery or a location with a gazebo for your wedding venue. Or at least a room with a view! You want to be able to enjoy the wonderful fall, whether inside or out!
7. For favors, take advantage of the fall with small jams, colorful scented candles, or spiced cookies. Feeling funky? How about your favorite Halloween candy as a favor?
8. Select one deep color and one bright color for your wedding colors. For example, a cocoa brown with a bright orange. Or a dark purple with yellow. Or a deep red with silver. You get the idea.
9. For attire, think strapless for bridesmaids and simple suits for groomsmen. The bridesmaids can have an outer wrap to keep them warm if it’s cold, but they can shed them if it’s warm! (One of the problems with the fall is the unpredictability of weather, of course!)
10. Have an activity: hay rides, photobooths, silhouette artists, or face painting. It’s fun and quirky and your guests will remember your fall wedding forever!
