Who Is The Wedding Lens?

As you know, The Wedding Lens is an elegant, wedding-specific online photo sharing site. It allows couples to effortlessly collect and share full-resolution photos from all your wedding guests.

Although you can always learn more from our features page and you can read why brides and grooms love us so much, I thought it might be a good idea to know a bit more about who we are. You know, the people behind The Wedding Lens — where we came from and why we’re here.

In the summer of 2007, Justin was getting married to his amazing now-wife.  Justin searched high and low for a website where he and his friends could share photos from his wedding. He wanted to be able to see the candids, the different angles, the shots that the professional photographer missed. He checked out the standard photo sharing websites, but there really isn’t (or wasn’t) an effective way to share photos without making people register and without just sending links to each other. (Justin and his bride weren’t interested in getting a password and sharing it with everyone… catastrophe!)

John is Justin’s bff, best man, and business partner. And John knew of this little quagmire. So he and Justin worked together to create a site that did everything Justin wanted.

In other words, Justin finally had a site that he could use to upload and download photos, share them, let his friends comment…. all in ONE album, and without requiring people to register.

Justin and John got some great feedback from Justin’s wedding guests. And they continued talking with newly engaged and newly married couples to try to improve and develop the site into something that everyone could use. And that is, my friends, what we have now.

Incidentally, you should know that The Wedding Lens team is a small one. We give personalized service. We like to help. We are friends and family who have known each other for a long time.
